Shebs the Wanderer - Travel Podcast

I had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking to entrepreneur and TV personality, Paris Norriss. In our discussion, we talked about his education, work, travel and becoming a host of his own travel show, Guy in Dubai.

Paris discussed with me what it was like growing up and having a few family holidays. This left him wanting to travel more. He went through to university, studying Business studies and focused on finance. He explained why he went down the financial route. When he graduated, Paris told me it was tough to get a job due to the financial crash in 2008.

We discussed Paris leaving the U.K. to move across to Dubai and why he decided to take that leap. He explained that this wasn't a difficult journey as he has travelled and lived in numerous countries globally. He discussed his business ventures in Dubai and the success he had endured.

Paris then spoke to me about his transition into becoming a TV host. He details how he went about this and what it took to develop his concept for his show, Guy in Dubai. The show has seen success and airs worldwide on Amazon Prime, OSN Streaming, Apple TV and Tubi. He also explained how he got airline deals, and the show can be seen on Emirates, British Airways, Etihad Airways, Saudi Airlines, Aer Lingus, Iberia, Level Airways & SpiceJet.

You can also watch it at Dubai Airport. We discussed his future plans for more series and talked about whether he plans to film outside of Dubai. Paris spoke to me about his love for adventure-seeking. He also talked about having a junior athletics career.

It was a delight to talk to Paris, a very courageous individual. I look forward to seeing what he gets up to in the near future.

Paris turns lessons like these into The Grit Code, his resilience and mindset keynote. Learn more about Paris as an resilience speaker, or check his availability for your next event.
