Keynote Speaker in Dubai: Paris Norriss
Paris Norriss is a keynote speaker on grit and mindset, TV presenter, adventurer and CEO of Blazing Sand Studios. He has lived and worked in the UAE for 17 years, and it is where he has given more talks than anywhere else, for organisations from Kraft Heinz and Nokia to IHG, Dubai Airports and Expo 2020. His TV shows have aired on Dubai TV and OSN, and inflight on Emirates, flydubai, Etihad Airways and Air Arabia.
My Dubai story
I moved to Dubai 17 years ago because I bought into the city's long-term vision. Few places in the world set goals decades ahead and then go and build them, and I wanted to be part of that. Everything I have done since has happened here. My entrepreneurial ventures, my television work and my speaking career have all been built in the UAE, and this is the country I call home.
That matters for your event. When I speak to an audience here, I am not a visiting speaker reading a briefing pack about the region. I know the culture, the pace and the people in the room, because I have spent my whole working life alongside them. I have watched the city grow, competed in its events and run my own company here. When I talk about grit, I use stories your audience will recognise from their own streets, desert and coastline.
Guy in Dubai and the UAE adventures
Presenting the TV series Guy in Dubai changed everything. Across four seasons and 26 episodes for Dubai Television, the show took me into every corner of the country: the city itself, and then all of the adventures around the UAE. One week it was an authentic restaurants food tour, the next it was motorsport from F1 to dune buggies. The series has passed 22 million views. My shows have aired on Dubai TV and OSN, and inflight on Emirates, flydubai, Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, so many people first met me on a screen at home or on a flight seat-back. My TV shows now reach 123 countries.
Guy in Dubai also opened doors I never expected. It led to brand ambassador roles with UAE companies and brands including Land Rover Middle East, TAG Heuer Middle East, The Capital Club, Paramount Hotel and Rove Hotel. Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Authority sponsored an episode of my TV show, which took me deep into the mountains and coastline of the northern emirates, and these partnerships made me something of a local face. Above all, it made me a regular keynote speaker on the UAE circuit. Organisers who had watched me take on a challenge on screen wanted me to bring that same energy to their stage.
My adventure work has taken me well beyond the studio too: shipwreck dives, involvement with the Red Bull Air Races, filming in AlUla in Saudi Arabia, and hosting shows at the Dakar Rally in Qiddiya. Each adventure gives me new material on how people perform when it really counts.
Tested at sea, on the ice and on stage
The Grit Code was not written in an office. It comes from moments when giving up would have been the easy choice.
7 marathons, 7 continents. I ran seven marathons on seven continents (Antarctica, Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Madrid, Fortaleza and Miami) in 5 days, 21 hours and 51 minutes.
Rowing the Pacific. In 2023 I rowed 4,800 km across the Pacific Ocean with three teammates, raising more than £150,000 for marine conservation.
These experiences sit at the heart of every keynote. They give audiences something real to hold on to: proof that grit is a skill you can build, not a gift you are born with.
Giving back: Gulf for Good
I am an ambassador for the charity Gulf for Good. In November 2025 I held a charity gala dinner at The Lana, Dorchester Collection, to raise money for it, auctioning art inspired by the 7 marathons. Giving back to the community that has given me so much is part of my story here.

Keynote topics
The Grit Code. My signature keynote breaks grit down into a method that teams can use the day after the event. Using lessons from the ocean, the ice and the camera, it shows how high performers keep going when motivation runs out. It suits leadership conventions, sales kick-offs and change programmes.
The age of AI needs more grit. A variation of The Grit Code for organisations working through technology change. As tools get smarter, the human edge comes from resilience, adaptability and the willingness to keep going. This version has been popular with founders and technology audiences.
Grit and change management. Built for teams going through restructuring, growth or new strategy. I have delivered this version for Nokia, and it connects personal resilience to the way organisations change.
7 marathons, 7 continents. A story-led keynote about planning, endurance and teamwork under extreme pressure, delivered at events such as IHG Ignite.
The Grit Generation (schools). A programme for students and young people, delivered at schools including Horizon International School.
Speaking across the UAE
Because the UAE is home, I speak right across the country. Abu Dhabi, where Blazing Sand Studios has its office at twofour54, is as familiar to me as Business Bay. Guy in Dubai also took me far beyond the skyline: into the desert, out to sea and up into the mountains. That gives me a wide set of local stories for any audience in the Emirates, from a government forum in the capital to a founders' meetup in a co-working space.
I also work regularly across the wider Gulf. In Saudi Arabia I have filmed in AlUla, hosted shows at the Dakar Rally in Qiddiya, and hosted the UN Tourism meeting in Riyadh.
Why a UAE-based speaker
Audiences here are some of the most international in the world, with dozens of nationalities in a single room. A speaker who lives here understands that mix: the ambition, the pace, and the respect for culture that every event needs. I can join your briefing in person, meet your leadership team before the day, and stay connected with your people after the event. For organisers, that means fewer unknowns and a keynote that feels made for your room.
Formats
- The Grit Code keynote (45–60 minutes). The full keynote for conferences, conventions and leadership events.
- Grit Deconstruction workshop (90 minutes to half a day). A hands-on session where teams apply The Grit Code to their own goals.

Blazing Sand Studios
Alongside speaking, I own and run Blazing Sand Studios, the UAE-based production company I founded in 2019 and lead as CEO. The studio has offices in Business Bay and at twofour54 in Abu Dhabi, and it produces TV series and AI-powered video. Running a creative business in the UAE keeps my keynotes grounded in the realities that leaders here face: hiring, growth, deadlines and constant change.
How booking works
