Grit and resilience keynotes for Qatar’s conferences and leaders
Paris Norriss has lived and worked in the Gulf for 17 years, making TV shows that uncover the culture of the Middle East. Qatar has shown it can host the world. Paris Norriss helps Qatari organisations build the grit to keep that standard high, long after the headline events.
Doha is familiar ground. Paris has visited the city many times on business and has played rugby against Doha Rugby Club, part of 17 years spent working, filming and having adventures across the Gulf.
After the world stage, the long game
Qatar’s major-event era proved what focused national ambition can deliver. Qatar National Vision 2030 now asks for something harder: sustaining high performance year after year.
That is what grit is: the passion and perseverance to keep working towards a long-term goal when the excitement fades and the hard work remains.
The Grit Code gives Doha’s leaders and teams a framework and practical tools to build it, from a speaker who knows the Gulf first-hand.

From the organisers
I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Paris Norriss in action as a storyteller, motivator and a true catalyst for transformation. Through his powerful awe-inspiring adventures, he doesn’t just recount tales of endurance and grit, he lives them.
I had the pleasure of working with Paris during TEDxAmman, the largest TEDx event in the MENA region, where he joined us as one of our inspiring speakers. From the very start, he showed professionalism, positivity, and contagious enthusiasm that uplifted everyone around him.
As part of our takeover of the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 we held a number of business sessions and a celebratory event throughout the day. We worked with Paris on this to be our keynote speaker, who was extremely professional and easy to deal with. He managed to change his tone to the appropriate audiences with laughs had by all. A pleasure to work with.
